The 2009 Westside Christian High School baseball team made it to the State Finals for the second year in a row. After capturing second in state last year, Westside's baseball team seemed destined to claim the championship title this year. During the regular season the team easily sailed through undefeated. Then the state championship game turned into an endurance race -- one in which, in an unexpected turn of events, the Willamina Bulldogs outlasted the Eagles after eleven innings of play for the state title. For the second year in a row Westside earned second in state.
Congratulations boys!
