Westside offers a unique opportunity for students to learn to play marching percussion instruments, hand drums, and hand-held instruments. They will also learn to compose drum line and ethnic-influenced drum circle music. This extra-curricular group, named Eagle Beat, is open to all students and provides an exciting and dynamic performing arts environment that trains them to work together with precision.

The group performs primarily at student athletic events as well as community festivals and parades. Additionally, Eagle Beat will enter marching competitions and experience the excitement of a drum recording studio.
