The 2010 Westside Christian girls tennis team had its best season ever, finishing second in their Special District. They advanced five players to the state tournament in Eugene, May 20-22. At the state tournament they scored 5 points and finished in 5th place in the tournament, their highest finish to date. The Eagles finished their season with an 8-3 record in the state's toughest 3A district, defeating all of their opponents with the exception of Oregon Episcopal School, the two-time defending state champion. In addition to the great match record, the team won first place in the state's Academic All-State awards for all 3A/2A/1A tennis teams in the state. The honor is given to the team with the highest GPA for that sport, and is sponsored by the Dairy Farmers of Oregon.
