Want more proof? Each year we receive a report from the Oregon University System which provides data about the academic performance of our graduates at all seven OUS schools. Recent statistics show that Westside students outscored the state average. After their first year, the college GPA of the Westside students was almost 4/10 higher than the rest of the students from Oregon. No doubt, Westside grads are outperforming their counterparts at the college level.

We offer both AP and Honors classes for those students who desire more challenge academically. AP testing is open to all students as a means to earn college credit while still in high school.

That’s not all! Westside does so much more than just prepare students academically. Most students participate in one or more varsity sports, take part in a major drama production, sing in our state championship choir, play in the praise band or drumline, and learn lifelong leadership skills. The opportunities they experience here are far greater than they might have at a larger school, giving them a unique and truly well-rounded experience.

While it is true that we have achieved these fundamental elements of a quality program, our calling and mission go deeper. Our desire is to help Westside grads discover their passions and learn how to make their faith come alive as they prepare for a bigger purpose. We introduce students to ways they can become the hands and feet of Christ here in the Portland area or thousands of miles around the globe. These students are tomorrow’s leaders, prepared for a world that desperately needs them.

We just thought you’d want to know…
